How LBB Came To Be..

My name is Mandy Mackey, I am the owner and operator of Little Bluebird. I come from a long line of artisans. My grandparents were woodworkers who built a business by selling their home furnishing creations in booth spaces in Ozark and Branson Missouri. My mother had a small home decor shop in our home when I was kid that housed my grandparents wood working and her hand painted creations along with her floral inspirations. She was also a florist for most of her life with a little shop in town. So it was natural for me to follow suit.

My husband and I are high school sweethearts. We married at a very young age. We have 4 beautiful children, one precious granddaughter, one dog, one cat, and a few grand dogs and cats.

As long as I can remember, I have always had a small business on the side to earn some extra income for my family while I stayed home to raise our babies.

One year, my mom and I got rained out of one of our biggest craft shows of the year. We had prepped for months. While leaving the show we passed a new store opening up in Ozark called Daisy Mae's. We stopped in, and realized wow we could sell our goods in a store year round and we wouldn't have to worry about rain outs ever again. We rented a space and we turned out to be really successful inside this store. The owner had to move out of state and needed to sell. I bought her business in 2015. I restructured it to better suit my ideas and business plan and renamed it under its current name, Little Bluebird Vintage Boutique. A year later we expanded from a 1500 sqft building to a 7400 sqft building. We added a website in 2019 where we sell a small collection of goodies you can find in the store.  What a blessing and a ride it has been over the past 11 years. I'm so blessed and thankful to live in a community that loves and supports it's local businesses!

About Our Store Location..

We are located in the heart of the midwest in a small town between Branson Mo and Springfield Mo called Ozark. Living in the Midwest means we get the pleasure of experiencing all 4 seasons. Sometimes in the same day, ha. Because we get to celebrate all four seasons, you will find seasonal decor and gifts in store & on our website for your purchasing pleasure. If you ever stop by our brick-and-mortar, you will find a store full of artisans and local merchants who provide a fun shopping experience. We not only house our own small business, we also house over 50 other small local businesses. You will find an array of home decor, gifts, clothing, artisan-made goods, a few vintage finds and so much more.

Meet the Team

We are a family-owned and operated store. At times you may find FOUR generations of us behind the counter or on the floor. My mom although now retired, still comes & works from time to time! You'll see my daughters around the store & occasionally you will find my son and husband hanging around too. And NOW we have the littlest bluebird who comes and vistits too. I have three employees, Lesley, who we love very much & my daughters, Allie and Hailey! I have several other business owners who I house in my store that also help out on the weekends. They are all amazing people and love LBB as much as I do!

We are truly a unique place. I hope when you step inside LBB, you escaped the world and get lost in the moment rather you are alone or with friends. We are humbled and blessed with the best customers. We are so glad you're here. We give God the glory for blessing this place and providing such a wonderful space for you and I.
